This year marks the fifth year of our club’s involvement in the program helping the USA and Canada players develop their skills with the hopes of playing for the Polish National Youth Teams.
We just got back from Zakopane and Rzeszow, where two of our players – Adam Bielecki and Jakub Targonski along with 51 other players from North America spent almost two weeks working with the coaches of the Polish National Youth teams. In addition to coaches Rafal Lasocki, Piotr Kobierecki and Piotr Klepczarek we had over 15 coaches involved with the camp. Two legends of Polish soccer were in attendance – Jakub Blaszczykowski and Sebastian Mila. Daily practices, games against NK Poprad, KS Stadion Slaski, Rakow Czestochowa, Stal Rzeszow, Gornik Leczna and Termalika Nieciecza as well as lessons of Polish language and history took place. The road was paved by Zachary Zalewski and David Rutkowski, both regulars at the Polish National 2009 and 2010 teams – so the boys know that the goal of reaching White and Red National teams is within reach. We are proud to say that we were there from the beginning of this project.
