The 29th edition of Kazimierz Deyna tournament organized by the Polish-American Soccer Association was a very special one. Our “home” fields in Garfield were busy with the 15 teams playing on over 40, over 50 and open categories. Our team came in 2nd in the first two categories and lost a close semi-final game in the open bracket. We also were part of the very special “all stars” game between teams of heavy-weight boxing champions Tomasz Adamek and Adam Kownacki. The NJ team of Adamek (pictured with some of SC Vistula girl players) won the contest 4 goals to 2. Among the members of the winning team were SC Vistula coaches Janeczko, Sala, Kozdron and Wesolowski. Coach Marcin scored the 3rd goal for the winning team. It was a great even watched by approximately 1500 spectators and televised by Polish National TV. Thank you all SC Vistula players, coaches and families for coming to the event and proudly wearing the club’s logo. You are the most important part of SC Vistula.
