It seems that our senior teams got infected by the “winning bug” from the junior teams. Both Over 40 team, led by Piotr Golabek and Open Category team coached by Marcin Janeczko and Konrad Kruczek took the 1st places in annual Kazimierz Deyna Cup. The tournament was held in Hope, NJ over the weekend and was organized by the Polish American Soccer Association. Over 40 team (with coaches Zagorski and Wesolowski as a part of the team) won 4 out of the 5 games. They beat Belweder Rutherford, Stal Mielec NY, Polonia Gwardia NY and ZPK Perth Amboy. After the first place in the tournament was secured our team lost the game to Polonez SC. The Open Category team kept the winning streak going on Sunday, beating Stal Mielec NY, Olympia Stanford and Polonia Gwardia NY. They lost a close game to Polonia Wallington on a last minute goal, but that did not stop them from winning the tournament. It was especially nice to see some of the players on that team who make their soccer journey at the club from the juniors teams. Congratulation to all coaches and players. It is great to see that our club continues to dominate the Polish soccer stage in all age categories, from juniors to seniors.
